Several months ago I was contacted by Karen Stott about designing a print for their adoption fundraiser. This sweet family is in the process of adopting a child from Uganda and as you might be very well aware, adoption is not cheap! I am so honored to be able to contribute this design, one of my favorite verses, to bring a baby home to a loving family. You can purchase this print HERE along with many other beautiful pieces to contribute to their fundraising process!
This post is dedicated to my darling bestie, Emily, who lost her daddy one year ago today. I have felt grief many times in my life but have not yet experienced the grief that comes with losing a parent. Watching my friend experience this sudden great loss has been painful but also a startling reminder of how precious every moment is with the ones we love.
Last month she commissioned me to do this print for her and her family members as a reminder of the love that they share as a family. It is a line from The Avett Brothers' "Murder in the City" and I may have shed a tear (or buckets) while listening to it and designing this piece. Sometimes there is so much beauty that we can find in even the most painful and grievous places.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family today, Em. Love you dearly.

When I first opened my Etsy shop last year, I asked several of my friends for feedback on products that they would like to see in the shop. There are so many talented calligraphers and hand lettering artists out there and it is difficult to set yourself apart and create your own niche. I am still finding that almost a year later, but this new product is definitely something I'm excited about. I work with a wonderful wholesale printer that gives me the ability to customize so many different types of products, including these lovely gallery wrapped canvases. Although canvas prints are not completely unique to my shop, each design and watercolor background has been created by hand and then digitized for printing.
Other customized products that are available (but not up in the shop yet) include.... hardcover books with blank pages, coffee mugs, coasters, magnetic cards, embossers and more! Contact me for any custom project ideas and we can create something lovely together!
